Love + Liberation Podcast

Dedicated to the intersection of social justice, decolonizing therapy, and Liberation Psychology, Abeytax Barana and Elizabeth Hoke are joined by activists, healers, scholars, and other guests to explore how mental health is shaped by the world around us. They believe that mental distress isn't simply a biological glitch, but is often a sane response to an unjust system. Each episode features thoughtful, in-depth conversations that challenge dominant narratives about mental health while examining the social, cultural, and political forces that influence our well-being.

Through these conversations, Abeytax and Elizabeth explore how systemic oppression shapes our minds and how ancestral wisdom, radical joy, collective care, and community action can help us move toward healing and liberation. More than a self-help podcast, this is an invitation to rethink mental health through a lens of justice, connection, and collective freedom, and to imagine new possibilities for healing that benefit us all.

Recovery's Remedy is a monthly recovery support gathering created by Julio Iniguez and Elizabeth Hoke to foster connection, encouragement, and a welcoming space for healing. Held on the first Tuesday of each month at TaborSpace, the group offers consistent, community-centered support for people navigating addiction, recovery, and the many paths that exist between.

Together as a group, they explore a model of recovery that honors the complexity of lived experience and recognizes that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Rooted in trauma-informed care, mutual respect, and curiosity, Recovery's Remedy welcomes people who are abstinent, practicing harm reduction, exploring psychedelic-assisted healing, or finding their own unique way forward. Whether you are on your own recovery journey or supporting someone you care about, you are warmly invited to join us.

Grief and Gratitude Ceremonies

Elizabeth Hoke is a member of Weaving Bridges Natural Fellowship, an intentional community that facilitates small-group ceremonies at Rose Waters Sanctuary in Portland, Oregon. Each gathering welcomes 8 to 16 participants and is rooted in reciprocity, community, and collective intention, emphasizing our shared relationships rather than individual outcomes.

Every ceremony begins by offering presence, attention, emotions, and gratitude. Through song, movement, creative practice, and shared ritual, participants cultivate remembrance and deepen their connection with the living world. At the heart of this work is the understanding that our relationships extend beyond one another to include all beings—human and more-than-human, sentient and non-sentient—woven together across the natural and cosmic realms. These ceremonies invite participants to experience the profound interconnectedness that reverberates through time, space, and the unseen dimensions of life. For more info, visit:
